Today is the 28th…and I’ve got to catch up with you guys on yesterday’s day from HELL!
Well, as you already know, on the first night of the trip (August 26th), my car had to be taken to the Honda dealer, which luckily was across the highway where the hotel (the wrong one) we ended up staying at was. Honda was still open at 8 pm (I love the USA!!!) and they said that they’d take care of the car first thing in the morning. This was a huge relief! Since the U-haul could not be towed (or it could have been for a 100 bucks), we stayed at the hotel the GPS took us to. After a hectic maneuvering of the U-Haul (pronounced Yoll in French héhé) on the parking lot, hiding of the cat so they would let us stay etc etc…we ended up having a great dinner at O’Charleys. We even got a free dessert for being French! Who would have thought that in Alabama?! Needless to mention that after all the emotions, we enjoyed a good night’s rest.
